Chapel - Blessed are the Poor in Spirit

Grade 7/8 led us in a chapel on Thursday on Jesus' words in Matthew: "Blessed are the poor in spirit...".  It was the first time of the year that we met as family groups.  We'll meet once a month in these groups before each of our chapels to discuss the topic and to pray together.  It was a great time of worship and reflection.  Thanks, Grade 7/8.

X-Treme Sports Day

Students' Council held their first House Team events day on Friday.  They chose to have an X-Treme Sports event which is a first here at OCS.  Looks like it was a success!

Copernicus Educational Products Photo Shoot

It was pretty neat this morning as Copernicus Educational Products used a couple of our rooms, and a couple of our students, to shoot pitcures and video for their new product catalogue.  

Pie Baking 2011

What a great turnout we had yesterday at our annual pie baking bee.  This is a yearly fundraiser, but I routinely hear of just how much fun it is too.  Thanks to everyone who helped out with this.

Terry Fox Run 2011, Orangeville

As a school, we took part in a small Terry Fox Run last Friday.  Our students competed against other house teams to see how many laps around the school they could do collectively.  A good time for a good cause...
