It was so exciting to have a float in the Orangeville Santa Claus Parade after a many year's absence. The Students' Council did a wonderful job of desiging the float and doing a fabulous job of decorating. Well done, gang, it was a wonderful time in our local community.
Our JK/SK class spent some time learning about what it might be like to be a paramedic. They pretended to be injured, walked through the inside of an ambulance, and even took turns 'driving' the ambulance.
The highlight probably would have been when the sirens went off.
Thanks so much for all that you, Orangeville paramedics!
Love this fundraiser. Not only do I get to enjoy the smell of freshly baked pies wafting down the halls, but I get to see this community come together and fellowship while raising money for the school. Thanks, everyone. Really looking forward to getting my hands on one of those pies!
We had our first chapel today as a school. The focus was on the first of the Fruit of the Spirit: Love. This year we have Mrs. Marcus and Mrs. deBoer leading a small group of students in acting out skits introducing the chapel topics. Today we had the fruit flies tell us that love isn't the romantic type of love between male fruit fly and female fruit fly. Mr. Marcus then led a teaching on how agape love is reciprocal between God and individual and must result in love and service to others.
I'm really looking forward to what God is going to do through our chapels this year!
